Biennale Arte 2024
Venice, April 20 > November 24, 2024 An unmissable event for all Urbani's People!
The 60th International Art Exhibition, titled Strangers Everywhere and curated by Adriano Pedrosa, will be open from Saturday, April 20 to Sunday, November 24 at the Giardini and Arsenale.
The exhibition Strangers Everywhere is from a series of works begun in 2004 by the Paris-born, Palermo-based collective Claire Fontaine. The works are represented by neon sculptures of various hues, reproducing the words "Strangers Everywhere" in an increasing number of languages.
A tribute to inclusivity
The exhibition will explore the concept of "foreign" in its different forms, including marginalized individuals, immigrants and exiles, through artworks by historical and contemporary artists. This Biennale not only emphasizes inclusivity, but also, as Pedrosa himself pointed out, is a promise of beauty. The exhibition will extend from the Central Pavilion to the Giardini and Arsenale, and will be divided into two main sections: Contemporary Core and Historical Core.
