The Venice Carnival comes to life

From Feb. 14 to March 4, 2025, Venice lights up with charm and fascination to celebrate Giacomo Casanova 300 years after his birth.

The Venice Carnival: kicking off from February 14

This year's edition, titled “The Time of Casanova,” kicks off on Valentine's Day, paying homage to the art of seduction and love with shows, performances and music that will bring St. Marco's Square to life, where lovers will meet “Heart to Heart” in a timeless atmosphere.

For the duration of the Carnival, the 18th century -the golden age of the Serenissima - will come alive in the Venetian calli and palazzi, amid refined masks and sumptuous dancing. A rich calendar of events pays tribute to Giacomo Casanova, a great adventurer and intellectual, a symbol not only of seduction and daring, but also of an idea of freedom that is fully expressed in the spirit of the Carnival of Venice.

This new edition of the Venetian Carnival will be a unique opportunity to experience and interpret the festival through the eyes and passions of Casanova.
